Paddle north through Cornwall Bay, keeping an eye out for bald eagles that nest in the treetops. Step ashore to stretch your legs on sandy Plum Point Beach at Kowawese Park. The park is a vista to Storm King Mountain and Breakneck Ridge, which mark the entrance to Hudson Fjord formed between 26,000 and 13,300 years ago as part of the riverbed’s glacial origin. This short tour is great for first time kayakers. Round trip paddling distance approximately 3 miles.
